All right friends.
Thanks to my friend Shelby, I completely wasted a whole day (with a huge to do list mind you) on an amazing blog. Apparently I also now can add reading blogs to my list of binge and purge activities. I really do need to add self control to a list of things I need to learn.

My husband is a big fan of a certain pastor’s blog out of Atlanta, Georgia. After his rave reviews I decided to check it out for myself. From it, I stumbled upon the blog of this man’s wife.
After reading it, all I had to say is “Ugh.”

Hey Ya’ll.
Hee hee. I just said ya’ll on my blog. It feels weird to type that.
I have a new blogging friend over at Vitamin Sea. No, I don’t know her from Adam, but I stumbled across her blog and love it. For an avid gardening community, amazing photography and Florida trivial fun, check it out. It’s a great read.

After stuffing our faces at Chuy’s with Kenny’s brother Gary, we decided we needed dessert.
Kat, my new friend here in Austin, tells me the scientist in her family says the human body breaks down sweet foods differently than savory foods, so in truth, you always have room for dessert.
I’d heard Amy’s Ice Cream is amazing. We asked our waiter at Chuy’s for directions and headed out.
“Just down South Congress on the left,” she advised.

Where in the world is squeaky duck today?
On the living room floor.
Francie retrieved him again from the bathtub. She’s helpful like that.
What is the life expectancy of one yellow squeaky duck loved by my dog?
Sorry Titus.

Gary, Kenny’s older brother, and his family came to town a couple weeks ago to visit relatives on a different branch of their family tree. Yeah for other relatives to bring our family to town!
That Saturday night we met up and all went to Chuy’s for dinner. Chuy’s is a staple of life in Austin. If you ever come to Austin, if you don’t go anywhere else, go to Chuy’s.

Since arriving in Austin the Mexic-Arte Museum has been calling my name.
I see it when we venture downtown and navigate our way through the one-way streets. It cheerily sits on the southeast corner of Congress and 5th. I like the terra cotta orange and white striped building and the modern black and white block letters of the sign. The windows of the gallery shop beckon with bright pottery and silver jewelry.

Duck hunting was a big sport in Fort Worth. My boss knew my love of food. He shared his favorite duck recipes with me. A coworker adopted a lab puppy named Lilly. Her husband planned to train Lilly to duck hunt with him.
Labs, after all, are retrievers. They retrieve ducks for their owners.

Today, Titus and I visited the Austin Farmers’ Market.
Originally I planned to meet up with a complete group of strangers from my church. However, I didn’t decide until late yesterday to definitely participate, and the RSVP list didn’t look very promising that anyone else was going. This morning I was running too late to catch up with them, if they did attend.
But after reading the market’s website, I wanted to take Titus even if it was just the two of us.

Francie really can’t be bothered by Titus. He pursues her with great interest. However, she is very smug.
Except at his mealtime. His heaping bowls of puree are more than she can bear. She wants to shower his face with kisses.
Just like a girl to turn on the charm for something she wants.
Dirty dog.
