The Donut Mill – Woodland Park, Colorado
What would you eat if you were headed to a hike with your family? My family ate donuts at The Donut Mill in Woodland Park, Colorado.
Hot fresh fried sugar.
Does life get any better than this?
Actually I think it does. The Donut Mill also boasts an ice cream parlor, perfect for the post-hike afternoon snack. The ice cream parlor is an exclusive Blue Bell Ice Cream retailer. Of course, as a resident of Texas, I’m a Blue Bell Ice Cream fan. If you can’t get this ice cream where you live, order some. It’s worth it.

Quite the healthy day, I’d say!
[...] it’s hard to head to the mountains and not get out in them, so we spent a nice half day eating donuts and hiking at the Rampart Reservoir Recreation [...]
Sounds like my kind of hike!! I love the picture of the girls!! Precious!
You didn’t mention the picnic lunch between the donuts and ice cream cones, complete with bees. We were well nourished to have the energy to make the “limited” trek we were on. Great memories, except for the bees.
I was in Colorado in May, but SOMEHOW I missed the Donut Mill! Oh, rats, now I’ll have to go back – and soon! Looks so yummy, much like a new place up in the Knobs – The Amazing Glaze Donut Shop! Love the pictures! Love to you all. . .
